Merry May

Ramsey loves going across this single "monkey bar" at our local elementary school playground.  I've been riding my bike, with Ramsey and Beck in the trailer behind me, about 4 times a week.  I can usually squeeze some good behavior out of them when I promise a visit to the Vienna Elementary School playground.  That way I get an hour of peace while I pedal my BRAINS OUT.  Ramsey is 34 pounds and Beck is 29 pounds, and I have a cheap Walmart bike, so it is really, really hard for me.

Here he is in all his glory, on the changing table.  I finally passed this table along after 4 and a half years of a solid, dependable performance.  We are planning to potty train soon...stay tuned!

We went to Meadowlark Gardens, and it was beautiful with all of the flowers and the pond with turtles, fish, etc.  It was a hot day and Ramsey and Beck ran around like maniacs.  Very sweaty.

Wild girl!

Here she is conked out on our bed.  I guess she was hot?

There was a one-man band performance at the preschool, and the parents were invited.  Ramsey loved it, while Beck was more interested in clinging to me.  I think it was too loud and chaotic for him.

Ramsey was livin' it up with her pal Carolina.

She was chosen by another kid to play an instrument in the front :)

Beck decided toward the end that he wanted to sit with Ramsey.  Then, when the show was over, all of the kids were supposed to go back to class.  Beck was not interested, and he clung to Ramsey's hand with a kung-fu grip and cried.  He was really upset.  There was another crier in his 2-year-old class, and  most of the other kids were pretty out of sorts.  I think the show was during their normal snack time and everyone was pretty grumpy.

Um...I forgot to do laundry for a while in May.  By the time I realized, it was pretty bad.
Like no clean underwear bad.

Ramsey is proudly wearing Matt's new Brooklyn Nets hat.  His brother Rob sent it to him when the New Jersey Nets moved to Brooklyn.  Matt took me to Brooklyn back in 2003 when we were dating, to his old missionary stomping grounds, and we ate at one of his favorite neighborhood Mexican restaurants and met one of the families he worked with.  It was awesome.

Here is my mother's day loot.

This is my end of the year present from Beck--
I love that his little handprints were taken throughout the school year.

Ramsey and I were playing catch in the front yard, and Ramsey got all ambitious and suggested we start throwing it over the tree limbs.  It was fun!

Her new favorite pose.
