Summer fun

We love Tropical Smoothie Cafe (aka TSC)!

 Beck--"my smoothie!"

Beck used to let me push him in this car, but now he insists on
pushing it himself (until he gets tired).  He is so energetic and independent!

We love being outside.

Ramsey loves her tricycle.  And Daddy.

Beauty.

One of Ramsey's favorite things to do when I take a picture is to close her eyes.  She thinks it is SO funny.  Also, they quibble over who gets to ride the tricycle, so there is constant "turn-taking."

My little nugget, sleeping.  He loves his binky,
a blanket under his face/neck/chest, and he DROOLS a lot.

After bath time, I am always scrambling to get these little kids corralled and dressed.
This is an evening where they totally outsmarted me.

Beck--"rocket."

Beck--"balance beam."

This was when it was my turn to teach our co-op preschool.  Sloane, Ramsey, Lillie, and Beck hid in the closet and I was the monster trying to get them.  This was such a great group.  I love how Beck joined in without hesitation, and Ramsey made sure he was accepted by the girls.

We went to a nature center, and Ramsey was very interested in the snakes.

There was a little cave room, and the kids loved wearing the hard hats with flashlights.  Except Beck because I was trying to take his picture.

Good times with Annabelle!

This is what Beck was most interested in--pushing Josh's umbrella stroller.

Annabelle, Lillie, and Ramsey, preschool friends.

Ramsey and Sloane, preschool buds.

All four girls together on their last day of co-op preschool.

A friend and I did a temple swap this year--I would watch her kids in the morning one month and she would watch mine the next.  It was really nice.  The temple is so beautiful and peaceful.

Beck does enjoy turning the wheel in the car, when he actually gets in.

I love this one--her hair blowing in the wind on her beloved tricycle.

The kiddie pool is a big hit.  Ramsey told her teacher in Primary that her favorite thing to do was go swimming!  I better make sure we do a lot of swimming this summer.

Ramsey is wearing the dress Aunt Laura Bean made for her--it fits great and is so darling.

Here they are in the double stroller while I had an annual visit to the doctor--they both requested to read the "literature" on birth control and pregnancy.  Hilarious.

Matt and I went to the Temple together while Cami babysat our kids.  The kids love Cami so much and barely notice we leave once she walks into the room.

Again, with her eyes closed!  This is a chaise lounge we found for her and it is a big hit!

Summer treat from Matt's favorite place, Silva's.  I like the macaroons!

Yum!

Happy Father's Day!

Beck and I quietly playing trains this morning while Ramsey was a preschool.

He was coughing and wheezing a lot today, so we ended up at the doctor's office.  He was pretty calm for the breather (we haven't had to do the nebulizer treatment for a year with him, we've only been doing an inhaler with a spacer as needed).  He said "all done" halfway through, but I convinced him to keep going, and when it was over he said "more."  One treatment cleared him right up, thankfully.  We'll have to stay tuned to determine whether he has full-blown childhood asthma.
Out of the four of us, it looks like three of us are wheezers (not me).  Sheesh.

Mimi and Pop-Pop visit

My parents recently visited us and we really enjoyed it.  The kids had a blast--Beck ran around saying, "Mimi, Pop-Pop" and Ramsey loved calling Mimi "Grandpa" on purpose to get a laugh.

We went to the zoo, of course, Mimi's favorite place.  It was 100 degrees and the heat was intense.  Mimi made sure we made it down to the lion's den, which made for a LONG stroller ride back to the car at the end of the visit.  Mimi acknowledged that this was probably her last visit to the lion's den once she tried to push the stroller with both kids.  We were so exhausted and sweaty it was actually
kind of hilarious!  The kids were total troopers.

Ramsey was excited to wear her backpack on her zoo adventure.  I can't believe how grown up she is.

Mimi fixed up all of my (and Mandy's) old dance costumes and brought them for Ramsey.
Some are so awfully tacky, but so precious on Ramsey.

Beck even joined in the fun and insisted on wearing this bracelet all afternoon.

Beck still drinks his milk by leaning back on a pillow.  Ramsey likes to join him, and Matt too!  Beck gets a pillow off of the couch (the whole time shouting "pillow!") and throws
it on the floor and falls back while laughing.

Mimi introduced Ramsey to the art of running in the sprinkler.

Love.

The kids (and Bella) loved cuddling up to Pop-Pop.

Ramsey had her first summer "camp" while Mimi and Pop-Pop were here.  It was at Wesley United Methodist Church Preschool, where both she and Beck will go to preschool in the fall.  I tried to take a picture of Ramsey alone for her first day of "school," but both Beck and Ramsey insisted
Beck be in the picture.  They are so loyal to each other.

Here is Beck gazing onto the baseball field while we had some alone time with Ramsey at camp.

This is what Beck was gazing at--he was so entranced he sat still for several minutes!

Ride in the firetruck!

Right before camp, I was pushing Ramsey in a swing and she let go, falling onto the pebbly ground right on her face.  It was so sad, she had multiple cuts on her face and knees with a small amount of blood.  We read a book to calm down, and then Ramsey went to her class.
She was a little nervous, but bounced back just fine.

Here is Ramsey with her teachers--Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Bibi.
