We're inside A LOT lately!

Since there have been several illnesses around here and very frigid weather, we have been inside a lot more than usual.  I'm a "walk-a-day" kind of Mommy so it has been an adjustment, but I have really enjoyed this time of not running around.  I've "done" Christmas gradually, so we haven't been running errands frantically this year.  It has been slow, and very, very nice.  I definitely feel more focused on the Savior this year.

Beck is so busy walking these days, it's kind of a big deal when I get to hold him!

Sometimes staring out the window is a must.  The kids were watching the repairman outside.

Luckily, Daddy is really into staying inside.   And reading.
Ramsey just sat there and listened as Matt read an article aloud.  It was so funny!

Climbing on the stairs is STILL Beck's favorite thing to do.  We try to keep up!

The kids view Matt as an in-house jungle gym.  He doesn't seem to mind.

The week of the stomach virus

Last week ended with Ramsey getting a stomach bug.  Beck got it one day later.  They were totally pitiful. Is it wrong that I enjoyed the extra cuddle time I got with them?  Don't get me wrong, I don't miss getting vomited on, but Beck was almost motionless and just slept on me constantly.  It was like having a newborn, and I loved having him so close since he is so busy walking these days.  I was really worried about them, but they pulled through.  Sweet babies.

This is how Ramsey chose to watch TV while she was sick.

Ramsey has NEVER fallen asleep in a random place in the house.
She was totally out here--I guess there's a first for everything!

Beck was almost motionless for two days.  He was so tired and asked for "wa-wa" all day and night.

He was also all binky, all the time.

Our first family race

Rachel signed us up for a race in Bountiful and we were so excited.  Then, it was really, really cold--6 degrees!  So, we shuffled our plans slightly--Rachel still did the 10K; Matt, Anna-Lisa, Laura, and Andrew did the 5K; but I took the kids on the track inside the rec center just to be safe.  I didn't want my little wheezers to get too cold!  The race was a total success--Matt and Anna-Lisa ran the whole way, Rachel finished with an amazing time (but I cannot remember because I am no runner), and Laura and Andrew finished like champions.  I pushed Beck in the stroller and Ramsey ran her little heart out.  She loves to run and is luckily able to do so despite her asthma (it is not exercise-induced at this point).  Go us!

The dedicated runners: Matt, Andrew, Rachel, Anna-Lisa, and Laura.

We felt like we ran the race too, even though we didn't.

She was seriously bookin' it.

Matt the champion.  This was his first 5K, and he ran the whole way.

Utah Thanksgiving

We had a BLAST in Utah.  It snowed most of the time and was freezing, and I loved it.  The "dry" cold is kind of nice for me.  We stayed at Rachel's house in Bountiful, and it was beautiful and so comfortable.  We had a scrumptious Thanksgiving--many from Matt's Mom's side of the family were there.

Let it snow!  The view from Rachel's.

Beck was obsessed with Savannah.  He would not come to me or Matt,
and was outraged if anyone else tried to hold him.

Ramsey really enjoyed the music room.

Beck and Savannah.

The gorgeous hostess.

Beck and Aunt Laura reading.  Beck shoved this book in her face a zillion times.

Ready to play in the snow, Mom.

Ramsey's first snowball.

Sister-in-law love.

Siblings in the snow.

Matt back from a long day of skiing.

Yukkin' it up at dinner.

Cousins at dinner.

Playing at Aunt Laura's.

I love to see the temple....right down the street from Rachel's.
