Grandma and Grandpa visit

The day after Mimi left, Grandma and Grandpa just showed up expecting lodging....what could we do??  They really are delightful, and we had a blast.

These guys love reading together.

Ramsey set the table for the birthday party and was super proud.

Grandma and Grandpa enjoying the Eskelsen birthday cupcakes.

Banangrams is a must with this crowd!

We went apple picking at Stribling's Orchard.  It was a little misty, cool, and beautiful.

Our little man, with his feet dangling.

Washing the apples, about 10 times.

Praying Mantis on Matt's tire.

Enthralled little boy.

Birthday dinner at Cafe Deluxe.

This was Joel's actual birthday.  Happy birthday Grandpa!  We love you :)

Grandma and Grandpa took Beck to a barber, and he got this handsome boy haircut.

We went to Gunston Hall, George Mason's home.  It was very interesting.
Here's Grandma keeping those kids entertained!

Mimi's visit

Mimi surprised us with a visit at the end of August.  We mostly did our normal things, but added a couple of trips to DC and a Great Falls visit to spice up the week.  We love you Mimi!

Reading at the park--Meadow Lane Park now has a little book borrowing cubby where you can leave and find books at any time.  Great idea!

Mimi LOVES doing Ramsey's hairdo, and so does Ramsey.  I was thrilled!

Movie night at the local Baptist church--Toy Story 3.

Outing to Great Falls.  Look at all that sass :)

Mommy and me.

Father-son with the Warner spacing.

Cool caterpillar.

Tuckered out.  Ramsey climbed into Beck's tiny bed and started snoozing.

"Let me put coins in the meter!"

"Me too!"

We visited Matt's office.  It's kind of hard to explain Matt's job, so it's nice for the kids to check it out.

Small fountain close to the Washington Monument.
You can tell by Beck's post that he is getting cranky.

Ramsey loves climbing trees.  Also, the kids are sporting the new outfits Mimi got them.

Ramsey loves this dress.  Thanks Mimi!
