My parents recently visited us and we really enjoyed it. The kids had a blast--Beck ran around saying, "Mimi, Pop-Pop" and Ramsey loved calling Mimi "Grandpa" on purpose to get a laugh.
We went to the zoo, of course, Mimi's favorite place. It was 100 degrees and the heat was intense. Mimi made sure we made it down to the lion's den, which made for a LONG stroller ride back to the car at the end of the visit. Mimi acknowledged that this was probably her last visit to the lion's den once she tried to push the stroller with both kids. We were so exhausted and sweaty it was actually
kind of hilarious! The kids were total troopers.
Ramsey was excited to wear her backpack on her zoo adventure. I can't believe how grown up she is.
Mimi fixed up all of my (and Mandy's) old dance costumes and brought them for Ramsey.
Some are so awfully tacky, but so precious on Ramsey.
Beck even joined in the fun and insisted on wearing this bracelet all afternoon.
Beck still drinks his milk by leaning back on a pillow. Ramsey likes to join him, and Matt too! Beck gets a pillow off of the couch (the whole time shouting "pillow!") and throws
it on the floor and falls back while laughing.
Mimi introduced Ramsey to the art of running in the sprinkler.
Love.
The kids (and Bella) loved cuddling up to Pop-Pop.
Ramsey had her first summer "camp" while Mimi and Pop-Pop were here. It was at Wesley United Methodist Church Preschool, where both she and Beck will go to preschool in the fall. I tried to take a picture of Ramsey alone for her first day of "school," but both Beck and Ramsey insisted
Beck be in the picture. They are so loyal to each other.
Here is Beck gazing onto the baseball field while we had some alone time with Ramsey at camp.
This is what Beck was gazing at--he was so entranced he sat still for several minutes!
Ride in the firetruck!
Right before camp, I was pushing Ramsey in a swing and she let go, falling onto the pebbly ground right on her face. It was so sad, she had multiple cuts on her face and knees with a small amount of blood. We read a book to calm down, and then Ramsey went to her class.
She was a little nervous, but bounced back just fine.
Here is Ramsey with her teachers--Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Bibi.
