October minus Halloween

First things first....this picture is from Ramsey's Pre-K recital back in June 2013.

General Conference

The temple and the conference center

Puzzle time

Our sweet, ailing Ramsey

Fun at Barnes and Noble and Beck's first (clip-on) neck tie

Sleepy June-bug

More sleepy baby (rough month with a lot of time spent in the car for doctor's appointments)

Trains in Mom and Dad's room

Pig-tails

Ramsey's plan to rearrange her room

Look at that stink-eye!

Getting outside after it rained

Embracing the wetness

More pig-tails

Sickness turned into pneumonia.  It was crazy scary.  Super high fever, pale, weak, low appetite, and difficulty breathing.  Ramsey missed a lot of school and was pretty miserable.  The first antibiotic didn't work, so we had to switch, plus lots of breathing treatments.

My dishwashing assistant

Darby discovered the TV

Stand up Doobie!!!!  Darby worked hard in physical therapy for a couple of months since she was only scooting (not crawling) with one arm.  Nothing appeared to be physically wrong, except possibly just a weak abdomen.  We used some kids' kinesiology tape and had weekly sessions until she started walking at 18 months.

Darby's picture for me, labeled by Beck

These three are always coloring, crafting

Good times in the doctor's waiting room.  What kind of mother lets her kids play on the floor here?

Good information.  They should hand this out the minute your kid has breathing issues.

More doctor visits...our Ramsey just can't breathe :(

Ramsey's wonderful teacher, Ms. Harris, had the kids each make Ramsey a get well soon card--this was the first time Ramsey actually smiled in a long time :)

Here I am in my matronly pajamas trying to smile through it all.

Always eating/hungry.  Angel face.

Why is there a toothbrush suctioned to the wall?  Things that make you go hmmmmm....

My attempt at assigning chores.  It was short-lived since the kids started taking their charts down, erasing things, and drawing all over them.  I should have seen that coming.

And here's what happened when I tried to tape the dry erase chore charts to the wall like a FOOL.

Beck's creation during quiet time.

We can do the 3-4 times a day nebulizer treatments in the car when needed courtesy of a car adapter (thanks Grandpa).  I promise I do slow down when the kids are sick, but the nebulizer treatments are so long and continue after the fevers and main symptoms are gone, and it is so hard to be home for a treatment every 4 hours.

Pizza night at Donatos.

Ramsey at SO MUCH pizza....she was so sick for so long and finally better and just so hungry.

Toys and tiny things are EVERYWHERE!!!!

Our house is filled with landmines....puzzle pieces with knobs, legos, etc.

Darby decided to practice standing at the bottom of the slide....I was cheering her on for sure.

Piano time with the Doobs.

A beautiful, fall day...time for a walk.

Darby loves the wind.

A British car show....it was so fun, and the scenery was gorgeous.

Below are some photos an acquaintance from high school posted on Facebook....

My childhood friend Katrina.  She was brilliant--an artist and an excellent student.  She took her own life when she was 21.  It was such a shock and so terribly tragic.  I love and miss her.

Kim Schaeffer, the best.

Ashley Smalley--telling it like it is.

Me and Ms. Berry, who went on to marry our teacher crush, Mr. Hegood.

Chemistry class.

A hilarious friend, George El-Abu, with the lunch lady.

Ramsey and Beck have been throwing up peace signs in pictures, and here I am doing the same.

Colleen Berry and me enjoying lunch on the bench outside.
