Oldies for the record

These oldies are from way back in 2005, when Matt and I came to Jacksonville (from Tallahassee where I was in law school and Matt was working at James Madison Institute)...

Sarah and John were housesitting at Joel and Zina's (while they were serving as mission president in Melbourne, Australia) with their precious girls, Dayna and Cassy.  I tell you, those two girls stole my heart the first time I met Matt's family.

6 months after Matt and I got married, and a year after I joined the church, I went to the temple for my own endowment.  It was a tremendous and overwhelming experience.  I had such a strong sense of peace when I was in the celestial room after the ceremony.  It was a true testament to me that I made the right decision joining the church.  I hope I never forget that wonderful feeling!

I was so lucky to have Sherry and Sarah there with me.

And of course, Matt!  Look at how young we were :).  And sheesh, he is such a good man.  Ten years of marriage later, and it is still true that he is just amazing.

And the next day, we picked out our baby dog, Bella.  Here she is with her brother and sister.
