We had a wonderful time! We stayed in a house on the lake and attended party after party. So many cooked and planned for us--Aunt Patty and cousin Laura Ervin were the planners, facilitators, hostesses extraordinaire! We saw many from my family, including:
- Great Aunt Laura Ward Timmons (my grandma Mary Bryan Ward Brennan's little sister), her daughter Patty, and Patty's 4 teenagers
- My Dad, aka Pop-Pop
- Aunt Julie Brennan Tolis (my Dad's sister)
- Aunt Patty (my Dad's sister) and Uncle Bo Phelan
- Aunt Bryan (my Dad's sister) and Uncle John Nackashi
- Aunt Denise (my Dad's late brother John's wife) and Neil
- Cousin Laura Phelan Ervin, her husband Billy, and their 3 kids Will, Joey, and Lindsey and Ginger the dog
- Cousin Lynn Phelan Wilcox, her husband Scott, and their 3 kids Ryan, Tyler, and Kate
- Cousin Jay Nackashi, his wife Cori Pringle, and their 3 kids Soli, Adah, and Ruby
- Cousin Trish Tolis Snider, her husband Dustin, and their 2 kids Lauren and Tyler, and Dustin's parents
Ahhh, the life, sitting on the swing, gazing at the lake.
Aunt Julie brought the SpongeBob slide/pool.
Ramsey was enjoying herself with cousins Lauren Snider, Lindsey Ervin, and Joey Ervin.
This thing was hilarious! Go Aunt Julie :)
So blurry :( But, here I am with 2 cousins: Trish Tolis Snider and Laura Phelan Ervin.
Sunset on Lake Blackshear.
Hanging out at the lake.
Some of the "Brennan" cousins' kids--
Adah Nackashi, Soli Nackashi, Kate Wilcox, Tyler Wilcox, Beck Warner, Ramsey Warner,
Lauren Snider, Lindsey Ervin, Joey Ervin, Ryan Wilcox.
Ramsey swam in the lake to the point of absolute exhaustion!
Adah and Ramsey really bonded--they played so sweetly together.
Matt and Aunt Patty--preparing lunch in the kitchen.
Eating lunch with Pop-Pop.
BeBe (Aunt Bryan) watching Ramsey and Adah--when things got too wild on the SpongeBob slide, they would hang out at the low-key, chill kid pool.
Beck checked out the lake and the SpongeBob slide and opted out. But, he had a blast anyway.
Me and my man.
Aunt Julie and Pop-Pop with Beck.
The way they tell it--Aunt Julie really believed my Dad was her birthday present when he was born because he arrived a couple of days after her second birthday. These two are pretty tight.
Uncle Billy Ervin was pretty tired from navigating the boat all day!
Unusual sleeping positions were the norm around here....
Beck was soooo tired.
He transferred from that couch position to the car, sound asleep.
Seriously, Ginger Ervin is asleep here.
Our beautiful Ramsey girl.
Ramsey and Adah were running around, and then it was time to go to the next party.
Adah cried and cried at the prospect of being separated. It was pretty sad.
Ramsey, Lindsey, and Adah.
Ramsey cuddling with Pop-Pop.

Grumps.
Not pictured--how our car's A/C went out on the trip from Townsend to Lake Blackshear and we really sweat it out! We tried to get it fixed in Georgia, but after two days they called and said they couldn't get the part yet, so we just left in the evening so it would be cool enough to make the 14-hour trip. Note to self: driving all night is not for us, for reals! We were SO tired for about 2 weeks afterward. Seriously. Otherwise, the trip was amazing.
