May

Notice Darby under the table-she wants to be wherever Ramsey and Beck are....

Where's Waldo is intense!

She kept that right foot elevated for some reason.  Guess the grass didn't feel right....

Darby's first ride in the bike trailer :)

Drink the milk, Darby, just drink it....

A couple of photos from my childhood....

Matt posted the picture of Beck on the left (from the father-son campout), and my oldest friend, Jennifer Taylor, sent me a message saying that Beck looks just like ME.  Imagine my surprise!  Well, I got out the old photos, and viola!  Here is a pic of me (on the right) that looks just like Beck.  I cannot even describe the pride that I felt, thinking for just a minute that a child of mine could actually look like me!

Mother's Day....I got lots of love and new sheets.  They are wonderful and seriously make me happy.

A field in our neighborhood....

I chaperoned the Kindergarten field trip to Frying Pan Farm.  I even rode the bus!

Matt and I went to the Friedman Prize dinner in New York and stayed at the Waldorf Astoria!  I bought a new dress and shoes.  Luckily, Zina already had a plane ticket to visit and so kindly agreed to watched our littles.  The first pic was while I was shopping.  I texted Matt as I tried on different dresses and he helped me decide.  Best shopping assistant ever!

We rode the Amtrak train together and walked around Manhattan after the dinner.  It was so romantic!

We went to Viva Vienna--our local fair.   I think Matt was kind of nervous about the ferris wheel ;).

Seriously, I know it's hard to believe, but Darby was actually peaceful in Zina's arms before I ruined it by taking a picture.  Darby is very, very slow to warm up to anybody, but Zina got it done!  She only lets me, Matt, Ramsey, and Beck hold her without pitching a total fit.  Today's accomplishment was that she let the babysitter look at her without crying.  She is something!

Here's some proof of her warming up to Grandma....

One of Ramsey's homework prompts was to write a letter explaining why she is a good person for a job, and this was her response....

Cool babies....

Stackadoos in the basement....

Oh, and that bruise on Darby's right cheek is from our adventure on Memorial Day (also known as "Darby Danger Day") to Great Falls where Darby's stroller tipped over and her face hit the ground, then a bee tried to sting her.  I think there was a third thing, but I can't recall.  Needless to say Matt was pretty hysterical by the end of it all.  He actually screamed when the bee was buzzing around her.  Calmest to most hysterical-->Ramsey, me, Beck, Darby, Zina, Matt.

One evening it was suspiciously quiet after bathtime.  I swung open Ramsey's door to get to the bottom of it, and discovered them reading together.  I totally disrupted them.  My bad, but I had to go with the odds that there was trouble.

Darby likes bath time and she likes to babble....
