October--the usual and the scary

Ramsey's checklist for school mornings--she loves doing things herself!

 Puppet show by Ramsey Warner.

Matt's photo shoot with our Praying Mantis, ala David Organes.  I don't know what got into him!

Ramsey wanted in on it of course.

Our friends the Shores just had a beautiful baby girl, Emma Theresa.  The kids were so excited to hold her.  So was I!  She was itty bitty--I think 5 or 6 pounds!

Beck and Ramsey just play and play games.  I love how they really entertain themselves these days.

Rolling the dice.

More of Ramsey in ballet class.

Can I have a cookie?  Can I have a cookie?  I know this pic is blurry, but look at those pie faces!

Video games at Vienna Inn.  This restaurant is a real Vienna landmark, and frankly it is disgusting and dirty.  I don't know how it hasn't been shut down by the health department.  Or why I was there for the second time.  I followed Matt's rule of not putting money in the video games, but they are catching on to that trick.  It's too bad.

Enjoying the fall leaves.  Fall in Virginia is really beautiful.

Dance party.

The kids were hysterical while listening to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.  They love it when I sing it, and make me repeat over and over again.  I love it too.

Beck had a random swollen, crazy red ear (see left, normal ear on right).   Turns out it was a gnat bite!

Then the next day, on Saturday around 4PM....Beck climbed onto the bathroom counter and got into the medicine cabinet, and ingested a small amount of Motrin PM (Matt's sleep aid of choice).  We're pretty sure he chewed up a tiny bit and that's all, but Matt took him to the ER after contacting poison control (with Ramsey in tow because I was not home).  I met them at the hospital.  Beck had to drink a charcoal mixture (mixed with chocolate) and he hated it.  I even drank some to encourage him--it wasn't so bad!  We stayed at the hospital for observation for about 4 hours, and went home.  He really seemed unaffected, maybe a little drowsy when I first got the hospital.  He told Matt he ate 2 pills, but it was probably less, but still very scary.  Look at that face :(

Good morning!  Our handsome, healthy boy in his footy pajamas.
These pjs were first Tommy's, then Ramsey's, now Beck's.

Dancing and laughing and singing after their bath.  Blurry, I know, but I had to capture the moment :)

The kids choose their own outfits entirely.  Every morning.  Ramsey is quick, Beck tends to be slower. Both are very proud and sure about their choices.
